Mr. Alex Bevan. North East Ohio's Favorite singer/songwriter. Alex has established himself as one of  the area's finest performers. He has entertained crowds in the tri state area and far beyond  for nearly 4 decades.  A troubador with a passion for  nature that carries through his countless recordings

Alex caught this instrument one day while fishing on the shores of Lake Erie.

This by far was the most fun of all guitars that I ever built . It was a project that was "spawned"  by Alex so that he could have a fish to show off at his performances as "Sweet Water Pete" at the Island resort of            Put in Bay.

I'm a firm believer in laminated necks. This neck was constructed   with some georgous flamed maple with a black walnut center strip. Note the "fish" style headstock shape and "grover" tuners

alt I was lucky to have a great artist friend who painted the fish for me. You can see his intricate template work in this photo. Also note the "quilted maple" fin on top
alt No Fish guitar would be complete without " little fish" inlays

Alex has written many songs about nature and rivers and fishing . It made a lot of sense to me when he asked me to build him a "fish" guitar. I didn’t think it was in the least bit odd. And the sunglasses just had to be there! ( please check out Alex at ). It want to thank Alex  for letting be build him his vision and for the continual support and friendship we’ve shared.
